Quadratic mean

The number $s$ equal to the square root of the arithmetic mean of the squares of given numbers $a_1,\dots,a_n$:
$$s=\sqrt\frac{a_1^2+\dots+a_n^2}n.$$
Comments
The quadratic mean is also called the root mean square.
