:: Currently "EoM talk" is in the main namespace. I think that the main namespace should be strictly reserved for encyclopedic articles proper. Administrative pages (like this one) belong into separate namespaces. Moreover, the name "EoM talk" is confusing because this would be the name of the talk space "EoM talk:" belonging to an "EoM:" namespace. There are the "Encyclopedia of Mathematics:" and the "Help:" namespaces that could be used for this, but perhaps another namespace "EoM:" for informal matters could be created -- the name "Encyclopedia of Mathematics:" is rather too long for practical use. (Other wikis show that it is possible to configure namespaces such that they show an "Add topic" button on their pages.)

::: Peter, do not forget to sign. :-) And we should not forget that many namespaces here are not editable by non-admins. These surely do not fit for this goal. :::: Of course, an "informal" namespace has to be editable. Or at least its talk space. --[[User:Peter Schmitt|Peter Schmitt]] 14:46, 21 January 2012 (CET)

Maybe it is better to use this page instead of EoM talk:This project, since this page has the "Add topic" option, while that page has not. --Boris Tsirelson 12:34, 19 January 2012 (CET)

The "Add topic" seems to appear just on discussion pages, as it seems. So what page should this be the discussion page of? --Ulf Rehmann 09:55, 21 January 2012 (CET)
Currently "EoM talk" is in the main namespace.

Peter, do not forget to sign. :-) And we should not forget that many namespaces here are not editable by non-admins. These surely do not fit for this goal. And yes, the main space is usually strictly reserved for encyclopedic articles. --Boris Tsirelson 12:29, 21 January 2012 (CET)
Of course, an "informal" namespace has to be editable. Or at least its talk space. --Peter Schmitt 14:46, 21 January 2012 (CET)
