According to the (obsolete) "Arc simple arc Jordan arc", "arc" may also refer to "A part of a curve comprised between two of its points (and containing no multiple points)". Of course, being itself a topological space it is homeomorphic to the unit interval. But the "naive" approach, accessible also to a reader not acquainted with topological spaces, is also worth to mention, isn't it? --Boris Tsirelson 12:58, 25 April 2012 (CEST)
