Quadratic mean
From Encyclopedia of Mathematics
The number $s$ equal to the square root of the arithmetic mean of the squares of given numbers $a_1,\ldots,a_n$:
$$s=\sqrt\frac{a_1^2+\ldots+a_n^2}{n}.$$
Comments
The quadratic mean is also called the root mean square.
