Homogeneous coordinates
From Encyclopedia of Mathematics
Coordinates having the property that the object determined by them does not change if all the coordinates are multiplied by the same non-zero number. Such, for example, are projective coordinates; Plücker coordinates and pentaspherical coordinates.
