Lagrange series
From Encyclopedia of Mathematics
A power series that gives a solution to the problem of local inversion of a holomorphic function of a complex variable. The original solution of the inversion problem, given by J.L. Lagrange in 1770, was subsequently improved by H. Bürmann in 1779. See Bürmann–Lagrange series.
